Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC), a statewide nonprofit delivering Head Start and early learning programs, seeks a dedicated food service assistant to support the Cook in preparing meals for children and families. You will assist with purchasing, preparation, and safe delivery of nutritious foods, while keeping kitchen records and ensuring USDA compliance.

You’ll help maintain FIFO inventory, uphold high sanitation standards, and participate in safety drills and team meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience working in meal preparation and planning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of foods that are culturally and age appropriate.
• Purchase, preparation and inventory process.
• Maintain sanitation and safety records
• Deliver food service to classrooms safely and timely.
• Maintain FIFO system for food usage.
• Ensure proper food temperatures for safety and quality.
• Keep kitchen and storage areas clean and safe.
