Job summary

Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the Head Cook in daily lunch service at the Sauk Rapids area campus. Work hours are 7.5 hours daily, Monday through Friday, 6:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., August 24, 2026 through approximately November 20, 2026, with potential extension.

The role includes preparation, cleaning, dishwashing, and serving students, staff, and parents. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals;

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work with cleaning chemicals used in the kitchen.
• Work with slicers, ovens & steam kettles; tolerate extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Cook in daily lunch preparation.
• Perform cleaning, dishwashing and general kitchen duties.
• Serve students, parents, faculty and staff as needed.
