Job summary

Sauk-Rapids-Rice-Public-Schools is seeking a temporary Cooks Helper at Mississippi Heights Elementary School to support lunch preparation and general kitchen duties. The schedule runs 6:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, August 24, 2026 through approximately November 20, 2026, with a possible extension.

You must lift up to 50 lbs, handle kitchen chemicals, and operate slicers, ovens and steam kettles. Applications review begins August 19, 2026.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work with cleaning chemicals used in the kitchen.
• Work with slicers, ovens & steam kettles and work in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Cook in daily preparation for lunch service.
• Other duties include, cleaning, dishes, and serving students, parents, faculty and staff.
