Job summary

K POT Arlington is seeking a dedicated kitchen team member to help prepare and cook high-quality dishes in a fast-paced All-You-Can-Eat Korean BBQ environment. You will work closely with front-of-house and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and maintain cleanliness.

No prior kitchen experience is required, but attention to detail, teamwork, and a passion for food are essential. This role offers opportunities for growth within a vibrant, guest-focused brand.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to KPOT's standards.

• Assist in food preparation and ensure all ingredients are fresh and ready for service.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.

• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to coordinate timely service.

• Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.

• Manage time to ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and all dishes are ready for use.

• Contribute to a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and collaboration.

• Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.

• Communicate clearly and concisely with the front-of-house and management regarding allergy orders.

• Maintain a positive, energetic, and hospitality-focused attitude at all times.

• Be a team player, assisting other team members whenever needed to ensure guest satisfaction.

• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift).

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds.

• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work in varying conditions, including heat, cold, and noise.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Functions:

• Prior kitchen experience is not necessary but preferred.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Strong communication and a passion for food.

• Basic knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.

• Comfortable working around grills and hot cooking surfaces.
