BASIS Baton Rouge Mid City seeks a qualified Kindergarten Teaching Fellow to join a bright, passionate team. The role offers exposure to BASIS Charter School model and prepares you for future classroom teaching roles.

Responsibilities include classroom support, tutoring, event help, and collaboration with Deans and Directors. A Bachelor's degree and fingerprint clearance are required; NES assessment may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Willingness to pass NES Elementary Education Assessment if needed.
• Willingness to adopt BASIS teaching methodologies
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or state background check

Responsibilities

• Classroom teaching, part-time or substitute.
• Assist teachers with classroom management.
• Provide student academic support and tutoring.
• Assist with events, labs, and testing.
• Assist in evaluating student progress and needs.
• Proctor assessments.
• supervise Early Bird, Late Bird, and Lunch Monitors.
• Coordinate homework for absent students.
• Support Deans and Directors of Student Affairs with behavior management.
• Support Directors of Academic Programs with key programs.
