Ingenuity Prep, a high-performing public charter school in Washington, DC, seeks an Early Childhood Kindergarten Teacher for SY2026-27. You will co-teach in a two-teacher classroom, deliver standards-aligned instruction, and build foundational literacy, math, and SEL skills through play, small-group collaboration, and joyful learning.

You bring a Bachelor's degree and teaching certification (or are enrolled in an alternative certification program).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Teaching certification or enrollment in an alternative certification program required

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver developmentally responsive instruction in early literacy, early math, and SEL foundations.
• Plan daily lessons with clear objectives, strong models, and structured practice.
• Deliver instruction across whole-group, small-group, and center-based rotations with differentiated learning.
• Use assessments and progress monitoring to identify skill gaps and adjust instruction weekly/daily.
• Plan with intention to anticipate misconceptions and align tasks to objectives.
