Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a dedicated IDEA Early Education teacher to ensure students master academic and social skills, and to foster a college-going mindset. You will plan rigorous instruction, assess mastery, track progress, and collaborate with families to achieve ambitious goals.

The role includes state-aligned curricula, data-informed instruction, and participation in a team-driven environment. A strong commitment to IDEA values and student success is essential.

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification or field of study.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution is required.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting is strongly preferred.
• Reading Academies certification or willingness to obtain TX training within required timelines; bilingual/ESL certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress and adjust lesson plans and gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with families weekly.
• Utilize technology to enhance learning and manage tasks.
• Maintain a clear behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
• Contribute to a positive, productive school culture and community.
