Job summary

Birch Agency seeks a passionate Kindergarten Teacher to support learners at a K–8 public charter school in Cleveland, Ohio for the 2026–2027 school year. This on-site, full-time contract role pays $29 per hour and welcomes candidates with Ohio teaching credentials.

The ideal candidate will create an engaging, inclusive classroom that fosters early literacy and math foundations, strong behavior routines, and positive relationships with students and families.

Qualifications

Valid Ohio teaching license or substitute license required or the ability to renew.
Experience teaching kindergarten or early elementary preferred.
Knowledge of Ohio academic standards and effective early childhood practices preferred.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction for varying learning styles and abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Ohio academic standards.
Create a safe, structured, and welcoming classroom environment for kindergarten students.
Provide differentiated instruction based on students’ academic, developmental, and individual needs.
Teach foundational skills in early literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, and social-emotional development.
Use a variety of instructional strategies and hands-on activities to keep students engaged.
Monitor student progress through classroom assessments, observations, and data collection.
Adjust instructional strategies based on student performance and developmental needs.
Establish consistent classroom routines and promote positive behavior.
Build strong, supportive relationships with students and their families.
Collaborate with school leadership, special education staff, related service providers, and other teachers.
Maintain accurate student records and follow school policies and educational requirements.

Birch Agency is seeking a passionate, caring, and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our team and support young learners at a K–8 public charter school in Cleveland, Ohio for the 2026–2027 school year.

This is an exciting opportunity for an elementary educator who is passionate about creating a positive foundation for academic, social, and emotional development. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and strong classroom management skills while helping kindergarten students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

The school serves a diverse student population and values educators who are committed to building strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Spanish language skills are welcomed but not required.
