Job summary

Upper Moreland Township School District is accepting applications for an Elementary Teacher (K-5) with a focus on Special Education. The position is full-time, 7.5 hours per day, ten months, in the Upper Moreland Primary/Intermediate schools through the LTS program G.

Experience with IEPs/504 plans and collaboration with district staff is required. The teacher will adapt instruction for students with a range of learning, cognitive, and social/emotional needs, using developmentally appropriate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in teaching from an accredited institution.
• Pennsylvania Certification in teaching in the appropriate subject area(s).
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Creates a safe, engaging learning environment aligned to district standards.
• Teaches district-approved curriculum and communicates clear objectives.
• Prepares lessons and uses varied instructional techniques to reach all students.
• Monitors student progress, maintains records, and communicates with families.
• Participates in IEP/504 meetings and district activities.
• Collaborates with staff to implement MTSS and support individual education plans.
