Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certificate.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary educational team.
• Experience working with high school students is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, standards-based instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with IEPs.
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and specially designed instruction to support student success.
• Develop and maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and collect data to inform instructional decisions.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure appropriate implementation of accommodations and modifications.
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences as assigned.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student progress and special education compliance.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
• Utilize instructional technology and evidence-based practices to enhance student learning.
• Foster positive relationships that support student achievement and well-being.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Director of Special Education.
