Job summary

The Barrington School District, Early Childhood Learning Center, seeks a Kindergarten Paraeducator to support students with disabilities across academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs in an inclusive classroom.

Under supervision of the Special Education teacher, duties include assisting instruction, implementing behavior plans, preparing materials, and documenting student progress; prior paraeducator certification desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum education of High School Diploma or equivalent.
• NHDOE Paraeducator I or II certification/eligibility preferred.
• 1+ year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction of reading, mathematics and writing as determined by the special education teacher or related service provider.
• Support curriculum across subjects including social studies, science, and arts under supervision.
• Use assistive technologies to help students develop reading, writing, and learning skills.
• Maintain a safe, healthy learning environment following district policies and procedures.
• Assist with preparing and organizing learning materials and documenting student progress.
