Job summary

Alpena Public Schools in Alpena, MI seeks an Instructional Assistant to support classroom instruction for elementary and secondary students, including those with special needs. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or 60 college credits preferred; paraprofessional assessment may be required.
• CPI certification preferred or willingness to obtain it at next opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Assist individual or small groups of students with instruction.
• Implement modifications to curriculum for individual students and small groups.
• Assist with setup, preparation, and implementation of instructional materials.
• Supervise and support students in lunchroom, gym, recess, and other activities.
• Assist with data collection and documentation related to individual students.

Education
