Job summary

Kids for the Future in Michigan is seeking an Instructional Assistant - Elementary to support students with regular and special needs across all areas of the school. The candidate should have a high school diploma (GED acceptable) with preferred associates or college credits and CPI certification or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 60 college credits preferred.
• CPI certification preferred.
• Experience with special needs students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists individual or small group instruction; tutors students at teacher's request.
• Supports classroom teachers in maintaining discipline and implementing modifications to curriculum.
• Assists with preparation and implementation of instructional materials.
• Helps with data collection and documentation for individual students.
• Supports Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and tiered interventions.
• Supervises students during meals and non-instructional times.
