Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in devising strategies for reinforcing material and skills.
• Guide independent study, enrichment, and remedial work as assigned by the teacher.
• Check notebooks, correct papers, and supervise testing and makeup work.
• Assist with large group activities such as reading aloud and storytelling.
• Communicate with the classroom teacher about concerns regarding students.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards similar to licensed teachers.
