Job summary

Lynn Public Schools at Callahan Elementary School in Lynn, MA seeks a Paraprofessional- Integrated PreK for a long-term substitute role. The position supports 3- and 4-year-old students with and without special needs across 5 half-day sessions, requiring readiness for ABA techniques, data collection, and classroom collaboration.

Responsibilities include assisting with instruction, reinforcing skills, supervising activities, and maintaining confidentiality while supporting teachers and families.

Qualifications

• A passion for supporting 3- and 4-year-olds in an integrated setting.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff and families to advocate for children.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the teacher by working with individual students or small groups.
• Assist in devising strategies for reinforcing material and skills.
• Supervise and guide independent study and remedial work.
• Check notebooks, assist with tests and makeup work.
• Assist with large group activities like reading aloud and storytelling.
• Alert the teacher to concerns about any student and communicate accordingly.
• Maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality regarding students.
