Job summary

Jubilee Academies is seeking a Paraprofessional to provide instructional and behavioral support for students with disabilities and at‑risk students. The position runs 190 workdays and is grant-funded, with a salary administered as salaried and non‑exempt.

The role reports to teachers and the campus principal, and involves assisting with lesson delivery, record-keeping, and supervision in and out of the classroom.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completed 48+ semester hours at an Institute of Higher Education or Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with instructing and supervising students in classroom activities, focusing on at‑risk students.
• Assist teacher in devising and implementing special strategies for reinforcing skills based on the needs of each student.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing or assignments.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and assist with inventory and equipment care.
• Prepare required reports and help recordkeeping for the class.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Supervise at‑risk students one-on-one or in small groups as needed.
• Help supervise lunch, playground, and other school activities throughout the day.
