Job summary

The L. D. Batchelder Elementary School in North Reading is seeking a full-time General Paraprofessional to support the kindergarten program.

You will assist the classroom teacher, provide instructional and supervisory support, and help with arrival, dismissal, lunch, and recess duties. The role requires excellent communication, ability to multi-task, and physical assistance of students. A Bachelor's degree is preferred and prior related experience is valued.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in creating a learning-conducive environment.
• Provide assistance to students in instructional activities.
• Provide physical assistance to students as required.
• Implement good behavior management with students.
• Support teacher with preparation of instructional materials.
• Provide supervision during arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, bus duty, and classrooms.
• Assist the principal and staff in daily school management.
• Assume other duties as designated by the Principal, Teacher, or Designee.
