Job summary

Vergennes Union Elementary School is seeking Long-Term Substitutes for Kindergarten positions for two sessions: December 11, 2026 – March 1, 2027 and January 4, 2027 – April 16, 2027. The role emphasizes social-emotional needs, PBIS and Responsive Classroom strategies within a rigorous early elementary setting.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant experience; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa is required.

Responsibilities

• Social emotional needs of students including PBIS and Responsive Classroom strategies.

• Use of formative and summative assessments within a proficiency-based reporting system.
• Collaboration within a team structure.
• Experience working with early elementary students preferred, but not required.
