Job summary

Mont Vernon Village School is seeking a Kindergarten classroom teacher to serve as a long term substitute. The position covers ELA, math, science and social studies, with responsibilities to implement district curriculum and monitor student progress.

The ideal candidate will have NH Elementary Education licensure (K-6 or K-8), 3–5 years of prior teaching experience, and strong collaboration and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Elementary Education or related discipline.
• NH Elementary Education K-6 or K-8 certification.
• 3-5 years of successful teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administers elementary curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Create lesson plans and instructional materials for effective use of time.
• Assess student learning with standards-based methods and adapt instruction.
• Maintain accurate records of grading and attendance per district procedures.
• Communicate with parents and collaborate with staff on student progress.
• Collaborate with grade-level colleagues on curriculum evaluation.
• Supervise students during activities outside classroom.
