Job summary

Hudson Public Schools is seeking a long‑term substitute Kindergarten Teacher for Mulready Elementary School with approximate dates of 1st day of school, August 31, 2026 through winter break, December 23, 2026.

The position reports to the Principal and requires a Bachelor’s degree plus Massachusetts credentials. Duties include assessing student progress, differentiating instruction, maintaining records, and upholding district policies. Temporary employment with benefits eligibility after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Knowledge and previous experience with Benchmark Advanced ELA and/or iReady Math preferred.
• Massachusetts DESE license preferred.
• Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (CORI) and fingerprints.

Responsibilities

• Assess student progress toward learning objectives.
• Differentiate classroom work to address individual learning needs and provide feedback to students and families.
• Provide a safe and welcoming learning environment.
• Supervise students in out‑of‑classroom activities during the assigned working day.
• Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
• Assist the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, maintaining order in a fair and just manner.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding personal and work/school related information for all students and staff of the district.
• Other duties as specified by the Principal or Curriculum Director.
