Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a K-5 self-contained or 1-6 Elementary endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and instruct students on District and state standards aligned curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans and goals that meet District expectations.
• Enrich or modify lessons, curriculum, materials and resources as needed to meet individual student's needs and varying levels of progress.
• Conduct formal and informal assessments to evaluate student progress; administer standardized assessments as directed; interpret data for instructional methods.
• Review student progress via assessments, maintain records, and develop intervention strategies.
• Communicate with parents and students on progress in writing and verbally.
• Collaborate with grade level teams, support teachers, and specialists to plan instruction across classrooms.
• Assign work and provide timely feedback to students and student teachers/volunteers.
• Participate in staff development, school improvement activities, and events outside regular hours.
