Job summary

Bancroft School in Worcester, Massachusetts, is seeking a full-time Kindergarten Assistant Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and an effective communicator who will support the Pre-K and Kindergarten team with literacy and math differentiation and daily care routines.

Qualifications

• Experience with 4-5 year olds in a classroom setting preferred.
• Associate's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with families.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher to implement an inquiry-based curriculum.
• Create a safe, organized classroom environment encouraging active participation.
• Deliver lessons and activities supporting literacy, math, and social skills.
• Maintain open communication with parents about child development.
• Participate in recess, lunch, and the extended day program (2 pm – 3:30 pm).
• Follow health and safety guidelines and collaborate with staff.
