Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Title I Assistants: 48 college credits or Paraprofessional Assessment or Associate degree; experience with children preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in a classroom setting.
• Must pass any required background checks and meet district requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist kindergarten teacher with instructional activities and reinforce material.
• Provide individual or small-group instruction to adapt curriculum.
• Maintain student behavior standards and classroom environment.
• Prepare instructional materials and read to students.
• Assist with lesson planning and classroom activities.
• Care for students and escort them as needed.
