Job summary

Independent School District 197, Mendota Elementary, seeks a Supervisory Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves active supervision of K-4 students during recess, lunch, and transitions, both indoors and outdoors.

You will join a three-person team to foster safety and calmly mediate conflicts. The position is 2.5 hours daily, Monday through Friday on student contact days, with a pay range of $21.83–$23.56 per hour under the 2025-2027 paraprofessional agreement.

Responsibilities

• Active supervision during indoor/outdoor recess and cafeteria for students K-4.
• Willing to work outside in all weather conditions including snow, rain, and sleet.
• Communicate and collaborate with a three-person team and other staff.
• Monitor student behavior and mediate conflicts; report incidents to the principal.
