West Des Moines Community Schools seeks a Kindergarten Assistant for Clive Learning Academy in Windsor Heights, IA. You will support the teacher, supervise students during lunch and recess, and help keep the classroom orderly and welcoming.

The position is full-time with a wage of $15.91 per hour, offering health and retirement benefits and paid holidays. Start date is October 12, 2026, with applications review by October 6, 2026.

Qualifications

• Performs clerical duties as directed.
• Provides general supervision of students as assigned.
• Assists with maintaining an orderly and attractive classroom.
• Supervises children during recess and lunch.
• Keeps the teacher advised on matters of relevance.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the general supervision of student activities as assigned.
• Performs clerical duties as directed.
• Provides individual assistance to children in need of special help.
• Supervises children during recess.
• Assists with maintaining an orderly and attractive room.
• Provides leadership for student activities as assigned.
• Keeps the teacher advised on all matters of relevance.
• Assists with bus duty.
• Supervises students during lunch and noon recess.
• Completes all safety training as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
