Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a Kindergarten Assistant to provide academic, socio-emotional, and behavioral support under the direction of the kindergarten teacher. You will work with students one-on-one, in small groups, or with the whole class, assisting with instructional activities and supervising routines.

The role reports to the principal and kindergarten teachers and requires adaptability, reliability, and comfort using Microsoft Office for classroom records.

Qualifications

• ParaPro Test score of 457 or higher required.
• Experience with young children preferred.
• Reads and writes simple instructions and presents information clearly in one-on-one/small group settings.
• Basic math and measurement skills relevant to early childhood tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and classroom documentation.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to routine changes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares instructional materials.
• Provides planning time for teachers including outdoor activities, rhythm activities, and story time.
• Provides lunchroom assistance.
• Supervises school-based routines such as dismissal and restroom times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
