CoorsTek, Inc. is seeking a Kiln/Furnace Technician I to operate and maintain kilns and furnaces in a manufacturing setting. You will follow approved work instructions, take readings, monitor firing, and restart equipment after outages.

The role includes routine maintenance, handling heavy kiln cars, and loading/unloading materials up to 80% of the time. Requires a High School diploma or GED and at least 6 months of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months manufacturing/work experience.
• Basic math and computer skills required.
• Forklift certification as required by department.

Responsabilités

• Under moderate supervision, performs kiln/furnace operations per work instructions and department procedures.
• Take readings and maintain firing within specifications for kilns and furnaces.
• Monitor push timing using computer software and correct as needed.
• Restart kilns/furnaces after outages or surges.
• Perform routine maintenance on kilns/furnaces as required.
• Address firing issues by sandblasting or grinding and notify appropriate staff.
• Notify lead/supervisor/engineer about equipment or product issues.
• Move heavy kiln cars manually as needed.
• Load/unload products up to 80% of the time.
• Rebuild kiln cars, replace bricking, wheels and bearings as needed.
• Track kiln/ furnace furniture quality, inventories and reloading; inspect refractories and beams.
