Job summary

Walker Lovell is seeking an engineer to take ownership of rotary kiln production and maintenance planning within a major mining operation. You will drive reliability, efficiency and ongoing performance improvements across the site, reporting to senior leadership and leading capital projects.

The role requires a mechanical or electrical engineering degree and 5+ years of rotary kiln experience in heavy industry, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance, reliability, and continuous

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
  • 5+ years' experience with rotary kiln operations in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Strong background in preventative maintenance, reliability engineering and continuous improvement.
  • Proven project management and leadership experience within mining, minerals, cement, pulp and paper, or similar heavy process industries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production and maintenance planning across rotary kiln operations to maximise reliability, efficiency and plant performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce downtime, optimise production and improve asset reliability.
  • Manage capital improvement projects, maintenance strategies and equipment performance across the operation.
  • Develop site teams while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and operational excellence.
