Job summary

Walker Lovell seeks a Mining Engineer to join a surface mining operation on site in Alabama. Develop short- and long-term mine plans that support safe, efficient production and collaborate with site leadership to improve safety and mine performance.

Design drill and blast patterns, monitor pit conditions and geotechnical performance, and work with operations and maintenance to deliver practical engineering solutions in a hands-on field role. 2–4 years of experience and relevant degrees required.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of surface mining engineering experience.
  • Experience with mine planning and exposure to drill and blast activities.
  • Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology or a related discipline.

Responsibilities
