Job summary

Foster Farms in California is seeking individuals to join our processing team. The role involves cutting and trimming chicken products on the line, standing for long periods, and operating small hand-held tools as needed.

You will report to the line supervisor and ensure safety and quality standards are met. Starting pay is $21.00 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour for evening hours (7:00pm–11:59pm) and $2.00 per hour for overnight hours (12:00am–4:59am).

Qualifications

• Able to use small hand-held tools (i.e. knife).
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods on concrete/metal grate floors.
• Able to visually tolerate a high amount of chicken blood.
• Repetitive grasping, reaching and cutting motions required.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Must pass BTE level I.

Responsibilities

• Inform supervisor of mechanical problems or if machine not functioning properly.

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am).

• Using hand-held tools slice necks of those chickens that the automated machine did not kill.
• Inform line supervisor/department supervisor of mechanical problems or if the machine is not functioning properly.
• Other duties as assigned
