Job summary

Newport Hospitality seeks a Kitchen Manager to join its food and beverage team in Beaufort. You will collaborate with the Food and Beverage Director to oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production and a positive guest experience.

The role requires a high school diploma, 6–12 months of cooking experience, and solid knowledge of health and sanitation standards. This position offers growth opportunities within a diverse hospitality environment.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 6–12 months cooking and baking experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of health, sanitation and food preparation standards.
  • Able to stand/walk for extended periods; lift 20–50+ lbs (up to 100 lbs infrequently).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise food production across all stations, ensuring quality and adherence to restaurant standards.
  • Manage inventory, proper food storage, and maintain a clean, sanitized workspace.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, assist with training, and foster strong team relationships.
  • Adhere to safety, sanitation, and company policies, including PCI compliance.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen appliances; report maintenance needs.
  • Be available for varied shifts, including holidays, weekdays and weekends as hotel operates 24/7.

Key Responsibilities

As Kitchen Manager, You Will:

  • Supervise Food Production: Oversee and Assist with Food Preparation Across All Stations, Ensuring Quality and Adherence to Restaurant Standards.
  • Maintain Kitchen Operations: Manage Inventory, Ensure Proper Food Storage, and Maintain a Clean and Sanitized Work Environment.
  • Lead and Support Team: Supervise Kitchen Staff, Assist with Training, and Foster Strong Working Relationships.
  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to All Safety, Sanitation, and Company Policies, Including Pci Compliance.
  • Equipment Management: Operate and Maintain Kitchen Appliances and Report Any Maintenance Needs.
  • Flexible Schedule: Be Available to Work Various Shifts, Including Holidays, Weekdays, and Weekends, As the Hotel Operates 24/7.
