Job summary

Little Sleepies, based in Los Angeles, seeks a Technical Designer with 3+ years in childrenswear to lead weekly fit sessions and manage samples. You will collaborate with Design to translate concepts into prototypes, ensuring fit, safety, and quality across Play lines.

Responsibilities include coordinating with overseas factories, refining the Master Grade Rule and block library, and maintaining strong cross-functional communication. Hybrid in-office schedule 3 days weekly.

Qualifications

• College degree in Product Development, Design, or Technical Design.
• 3+ years experience in Technical Design.
• Experience with overseas factories/vendors.
• Proficient in Microsoft and Google Applications.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficient in PLM/PDM systems.
• Knowledge of garment fit, construction, patternmaking, and grading.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize workload.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills with internal and external partners.
• A team player attitude and willingness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate & Lead Weekly fits on form and with live fit models.
• Receive, measure, and prepare Fit/PP Samples for weekly fits.
• Communicate pattern/fit corrections to overseas factories/vendors.
• Partner with Design to understand fit intent and translate to proto/1st fit sample.
• Review samples for safety issues and address with cross-functional partners and factory.
• Ensure factory is using best sewing/construction practices while meeting Little Sleepies standards.
• Support Play Manager in creation/maintenance of Play block library.
• Participate in special projects and daily workload.
• Support calendar management for Fit and PP Sample approvals.
• Hybrid Schedule - In-office 3 days a week.
