Job summary

KidStrong is seeking individuals with athletic or coaching backgrounds to coach children aged walking to 11 years old. You will focus on cognitive, physical and character development through a weekly curriculum led by trained coaches.

Ideal candidates speak with parents about the rationale behind the KidStrong curriculum and are comfortable engaging with families. Opportunities exist to increase hours via private parties and camps.

Qualifications

• Must be 17 or older.
• Passion for working with children is non-negotiable.
• Prior coaching experience with KidStrong age group preferred.
• Experience speaking to and educating parents on KidStrong curriculum.
• Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics helpful.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-starter who completes tasks independently.
• Comfortable speaking in the spotlight if needed.

Responsibilities

• Coach children walking up to 11 years old on cognitive, physical and character development.
• Deliver weekly curriculum with developmentally appropriate fitness games.
• Explain the curriculum and its rationale to parents/guardians.
• Increase scheduled hours through private parties and camp coaching.

WHAT IS KIDSTRONG?

KidStrong is a science-based kids training program that builds strong, confident, high-character kids. We do this in weekly, 45 minute developmentally-appropriate classes. Each class includes unique science-based fitness games led by highly trained, kid-focused coaches.

ROLE & SCHEDULE

We are looking for individuals with an athletic or coaching background who ideally have experience coaching kids ages walking - 11 years old. The KidStrong Coach would focus on coaching children on cognitive, physical and character development that stems from evolving weekly curriculum. The ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding “the why” behind KidStrong curriculum.

Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party and camp coaching hours.

CURRENT SHIFT OPENINGS:

Candidate must be available or open to work some or all of the following shifts to be considered:

• Weekday evenings: 3:45pm-7:30pm
• Saturday: 8:45am-1:30pm, 3:30-5:30pm (as needed for parties), 5:30pm-7:30pm (as needed for parties)
• Sunday: 8:45am-1:15

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be

17 or older

• Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
• Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
• Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on KidStrong curriculum
• Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
• CPR certified
• Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills
• Self-starter who just gets a job done

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

KidStrong is a private child development training center focused on brain, physical & character development for ages walking through 11 years old. KidStrong offers a science-based curriculum that is parent-focused and taught by professionals.
