Job summary

KidStrong Acadiana is seeking passionate coaches to work with children ages crawling through 11 years old. You will lead sessions focusing on cognitive, physical and character growth according to our evolving weekly curriculum, while also guiding and informing parents about the rationale of the activities.

The role involves weekday morning and evening shifts, plus weekend hours. Prior pediatric coaching experience is a plus, and there is room for advancement within a fun, energetic team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Experience coaching students in KidStrong age range preferred.
• Ability to speak to and educate parents on KidStrong curriculum.
• Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Coach children on cognitive, physical and character development aligned with weekly curriculum.
• Engage with parents/guardians to explain the why behind KidStrong curriculum.
• Deliver classes during assigned shifts and participate in private parties/camps as needed.

ROLE & SCHEDULE

We are looking for individuals with an athletic or coaching background who ideally have experience coaching kids ages crawling - 11 years old. The KidStrong Coach would focus on coaching children on cognitive, physical and character development that stems from evolving weekly curriculum. The ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding "the why" behind KidStrong curriculum. Our classes run weekdays 8am-12pm and evenings until 7pm. On weekends we start at 8AM and run through early afternoon, Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party and camp coaching hours. Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required!

Current Shift Openings

• Weekdays: 8:30 - Noon
• Weekday evenings: 3:45pm-7:30pm
• Saturday: 7:45am-2:00pm, 3:30-5:30pm (as needed for parties), 5:30pm-7:30pm (as needed for parties)
• Sunday: 9:45am-2:00pm

Qualifications

Must be 18 or older

• Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
• Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
• Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on KidStrong curriculum
• Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
• CPR certified
• Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills
• Self-starter who just gets a job done

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

KidStrong is a private child development training center focused on brain, physical & character development for ages walking through 11 years old. KidStrong offers a science-based curriculum that is parent-focused and taught by professionals.
