The position requires 16+ years of age, good communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule across mornings, evenings, and weekends at the William G. White Jr Family YMCA and Robinhood Road Family YMCA.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule and work as a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead educational, age-appropriate, and Christian-valued activities for children ages 6 weeks–11 years.
• Maintain health, safety, and cleanliness standards in Kids Zone.
• Provide superior customer service to members and their children.
• Implement assigned programming and maintain attendance records.
• Care for and supervise children with emphasis on safety and wellness.
• Communicate positively with other staff members.
• Attend staff meetings and required trainings.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
• Work varied shifts including weekends and evenings.

## DescriptionUnder the direction of the Kids Zone Coordinator and consistent with the Christian Mission of the YMCA, a Kids Zone Representative is responsible for supervising and leading activities to engage children in play and learning, while ensuring standards of health and safety are met.ResponsibilitiesLead educational, age-appropriate and Christian-valued activities for children ages 6 weeks-11 yearsMaintain health, safety and cleanliness standards of Kids ZoneProvide superior customer service to members and their childrenImplement assigned programmingMaintain accurate records relating to attendanceProvide care and supervision of children in Kids Zone with emphasis on overall safety and wellnessCommunicate appropriately with other staff members in a positive mannerAttend staff meetings and complete all required trainingsAssist with other duties as assignedVarying shifts 7:45 am to 12:15 pm Monday through Saturday, 3:45 to 8:15 pm Monday through Thursday, and 12:45 to 5:15 pm on Sundays. Location: William G. White Jr Family YMCA and the Robinhood Road Family YMCA.
