Job summary

YMCA seeks a Kids Zone Representative to supervise and lead activities for children aged 6 weeks to 11 years, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and Christian-valued programming. You will deliver age-appropriate activities, maintain attendance records, and provide excellent service to families.

Requirements include being at least 16, a high school diploma (or equivalent), and CPR/ASHI certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience working with children or in a related field preferred.
• Ability to work well with children of various ages and abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule.
• Capable of working as a team player.
• Ability to maintain safe environment.
• Obtain ASHI (CPR) certification within 30 days of employment (training is provided).

Responsibilities

• Lead educational, age-appropriate and Christian-valued activities for children ages 6 weeks-11 years
• Maintain health, safety and cleanliness standards of Kids Zone
• Provide superior customer service to members and their children
• Implement assigned programming
• Maintain accurate records relating to attendance
• Provide care and supervision of children in Kids Zone with emphasis on overall safety and wellness
• Communicate appropriately with other staff members in a positive manner
• Attend staff meetings and complete all required trainings
• Assist with other duties as assigned
