Job summary

Impact Kids in California is seeking an experienced Yoga Instructor to lead age-appropriate yoga for children in our before, during and after school programs. The role requires a calm, engaging energy and a passion for mindfulness and movement.

You will design daily sessions for ages 4–18, teach postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation methods, supervise groups, ensure safety, and collaborate with other Activity Specialists while upholding our Code of Conduct and Core Values.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience working with children.
• Yoga teaching or group fitness instructor experience (1-5 years minimum).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Yoga Instructor supervises students, leads age-appropriate yoga instruction, provides a safe and calming environment, and serves as a positive role model.
• Create and implement daily yoga sessions tailored to students between 4 and 18 with varying ability levels.
• Teach fundamental yoga postures, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices to promote well-being.
• Group supervision of students with attention to behavior, health and safety, security, and development.
• Ensure the safety of students and team members.
• Organize and prepare daily plans in a fun, creative, and engaging manner.
• Use classroom management to lead the activity and foster an inclusive environment.
• Collaborate with fellow Activity Specialists on daily responsibilities.
• Follow the Impact Kids Code of Conduct and Core Values.
