Job summary

Learning Care Group in Concord, NC is seeking a Food Specialist to oversee food preparation for enrolled children. You will create home-style, nutritious meals within the school menu and budget, serving meals and snacks to kids and staff.

You will follow daily menus, comply with USDA and licensing rules, maintain inventory, and assist in classrooms as needed. The role also offers ongoing training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking/food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare setting.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to state/local regulations.
• Flexibility with hours and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritious meals within the school menu and budget; prepare meals and snacks for children and staff.
• Follow the daily menu in compliance with USDA, licensing, and health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and reorder as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
