Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Cook to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children in our centers in Leawood, KS. You will follow menus created by our in-house nutritionist and ensure meals meet safety standards.

You will maintain a clean, organized kitchen, order supplies, and support daily center operations. Candidates should have experience with institutional cooking and a valid Food Handler’s License, plus comfort working with children and families.

Qualifications

• Must love children and be patient and caring.
• Knowledge of safe food handling, storage, and basic nutrition.
• Ability to follow nutritious menus and prepare meals for center populations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety; ensure equipment is hygienic.
• Order food and supplies as needed and track inventory.
• Dispense and store medication when required and per regulations.
• Complete documentation per KinderCare and licensing requirements.
• Assist with other daily center duties and collaborate with staff to meet enrollment and engagement goals.
