Lasting Impressions Child Development Center in Clarksburg, WV is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant/Food Prep team member to nourish young learners daily. Join a caring team focused on safe, healthy meals in a child-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food prep, food service, or a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification a plus).
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines accurately.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Compassionate, team-oriented attitude with a passion for working in a child-centered setting.
• Ability to pass a background check as required for childcare facility employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of daily meals and snacks for children
• Follow established menus, recipes, and portion guidelines to ensure nutritional standards are met
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment at all times
• Properly store, label, and rotate food items in accordance with food safety regulations
• Wash, sanitize, and put away dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Monitor food temperatures and adhere to health and safety protocols
• Support kitchen staff with restocking supplies and inventory management
