Position : Kids Kare Site Supervisors [Before & After School Childcare]

Location : Howell Public Schools - Kids Kare Locations

Duration : Year Round

Days: Monday through Friday

*Staff may work with Early Childhood Administration to set schedule weekly schedule

Hours: Morning Shift - 6:30 AM - 8:45 AM OR Afternoon Shift - 3:45 PM - 6:00 PM

Wage Rate: $25.00/hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must maintain a positive and professional attitude.
• Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing and program guidelines.
• Supervise children as directed.
• Must work well with others.
• Have caring, patient, flexible demeanor.
• In-person attendance.

• Foster a positive, collaborative team culture while promoting high-quality programming and positive interactions with children and families.
• Monitor daily operations to ensure licensing requirements are consistently followed by all team members.
• Serve as a mentor and coach to Kids Kare staff by providing guidance and support.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree required to serve as a Kids Kare Site Supervisor.
• Experience working with children.
• Customer service experience.
• Qualifications/certification to substitute in any of the Early Childhood Programs preferred (Preschool, Childcare, Kids Kare)
• Infant/Child/Adult First Aid/CPR Certificate preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrators, students, staff and the general public consistent with the duties of this position.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence.
• Must have phone skills and communicate with people over the phone.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
