Greater Austin YMCA is seeking a Dance Instructor to lead dance classes for children ages 4-12. You will teach multiple styles, design age-appropriate routines, and foster a fun, inclusive environment where kids develop rhythm and coordination.

You will manage classroom behavior, prepare engaging lesson plans, communicate with parents, and help showcase student progress at performances. This role requires energy, creativity, and a commitment to safety and teamwork in a classroom setting.

Qualificações

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Experience teaching dance to children in educational or recreational settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of various dance styles and ability to demonstrate moves clearly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Teach dance classes to children aged 4-12, improving rhythm and coordination and presenting engaging routines.
• Develop and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans that promote progress across skill levels.
• Inspire students to advance their dance skills and participate positively in class.
• Manage classroom behavior with sensitivity to maintain a respectful learning environment.
• Prepare students for performances or showcases and celebrate their achievements.
• Maintain safety by following protocols and proper warm-up techniques.
• Communicate with parents about class progress and student milestones.
• Represent the YMCA's values in interactions with the community and stakeholders.
