Job summary

The Greater Austin YMCA is seeking a Dance Instructor to lead engaging dance classes for children aged 4-12 in a vibrant, inclusive environment. You will design age-appropriate routines, teach multiple styles, and inspire confidence and teamwork in young dancers.

You will create fun, educational lesson plans, monitor safety, and communicate progress with parents while upholding the YMCA’s mission. Shifts may vary by schedule and studio availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and older.
• Ability to teach and demonstrate moves across dance styles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

• Act as an ambassador for the YMCA, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
