Job summary

YMCA of Central Texas in Round Rock is seeking an experienced Dance Instructor to teach recreational dance to children aged 2 to 14. The role requires knowledge of ballet, tap, jazz, POM and hip hop, and a minimum of 12 months teaching young dancers.

You will coach CHASCO YMCA dance classes, oversee attendance and schedules, help coordinate winter and spring recitals, communicate with families, and administer skills progression testing. Pay ranges from $14.00 to $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of 12 months experience teaching young children ballet, tap, jazz and/or hip hop.
• Be friendly, courteous, enthusiastic, and possess a cooperative attitude.
• Have a general knowledge of fitness and wellness.

• Ability to pass reference check, pre-employment drug screen, sex-offender check, and criminal history check.

Overview

The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Dance Instructor for our recreational dance program at the CHASCO Family YMCA. The Dance Instructor will teach dance to children 2 to 14 years old. Applicants should have knowledge of a variety of dance styles; ballet, tap, jazz, POM and hip hop are classes offered at our facility. A minimum of 12 months of experience and a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children are required.

Schedules

• Monday 3:50-7:00pm
• Wednesday 2:50-7:00pm
• Thursday 10:30-11:45am
• Friday 3:50-7:00pm
• Saturday 9:45am-12:45pm

Duties
