Job summary

Code Ninjas is seeking a coding instructor to join our team of dynamic mentors at our Tooele center. You will coach kids ages 7-14, deliver the curriculum, and create a fun, safe environment that fosters problem-solving and confidence.

As a Sensei, you’ll mentor students, provide feedback to parents, and collaborate with center staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Prior experience with children and a passion for coding are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 7+ (mentoring, coaching, tutoring).
• Experience interacting with the general public.
• Experience in teaching, mentoring, or child care.
• Collaborates well with others.
• Knowledgeable about coding/tech or able to pick up basics quickly.
• Thrives in fast-paced environments with changing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Training – go through the curriculum and learn it.
• Create a positive and safe environment in which students can grow.
• Work with children to determine skill sets.
• Provide feedback to parents after working with a student who is on a tour.
• Follow opening/closing duties daily.
• Clean dojo throughout the day to ensure cleanliness is kept up to corporate standards.
• Report weekly to Center Assistant Manager on progress.
• Report daily to Center Manager with respect to day’s activities and productivity in dojo.
