B4 Church in Beaverton, OR, seeks a caring part-time Children’s Ministry helper to support Kids Care. You will watch children from infants through 5th grade, lead simple crafts, games, and conversations, and uphold church policies.
Applicants should be able to report significant events to the supervisor and maintain confidentiality. First Aid/CPR certification is encouraged. This is a part-time role up to 16.5 hours weekly.

Able to maintain a high level of integrity, discernment and discretion in caring for people and with sensitive information.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills when working with others [namely supervisor, other staff, volunteers, and contractors as required].
Ability to initiate, organize, complete, and follow up on applicable project work. Able to creatively problem solve if issues arise.
Self-motivated to study and improve knowledge and skill in areas of responsibility as needed. Teachable.
Experience with correspondence through email. Willingness and aptitude to learn and use necessary computer programs & applications.
Able to understand and model church mission and core values and beliefs.
Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to learn basic skills in short periods of time.
Interpersonal skills necessary for contact, routine discussion with staff team members, other church employees, and congregants.
Able to deal with new or unplanned situations and interruptions occasionally.
Demonstrates a love for children of all ages with the ability to have fun, show kindness, exhibit empathy and serve responsibly.
Responsible. Able to arrive on time and communicate directly with supervisor.
Shows initiative when responding to children and other needs that arise.
Holding a current First Aid and CPR certification is encouraged.
Maintain a safe, clean, and fun space for children.
Responsible for watching and monitoring children ranging from babies-5th grade.
Engage in activities with children such as hands‑on crafts, games, and healthy conversation.
Uphold the policies and procedures of B4 Kids.
Maintain prudent use of assets in own area.
Report all significant events and crises to supervisor. Maintain confidentiality and integrity in records and conversation.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
This position is up to 16.5 hours a week on an as‑needed basis. Additional hours may be requested by supervisor for special events.
Reports to the Childcare Coordinator. This is a part-time, non-exempt position. All overtime must be pre‑approved by your supervisor. No direct supervision of other employees is required.
