Job summary

Kidcreate Studio is seeking an enthusiastic part-time art instructor to teach the Kidcreate Academy curriculum in Wixom, MI. You will guide students through step-by-step lessons in drawing, painting, and color theory while fostering creativity and confidence.

Ideal candidates have a background in Art Education and prior classroom experience. The role offers flexible afternoons/evenings and opportunities to impact young artists in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Art Education or related field preferred.
• Certified PK-12 Art Teacher is preferred.
• Experience teaching children in classrooms, camps, or after-school programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach structured, step-by-step lessons using Kidcreate Academy curriculum.
• Demonstrate drawing, painting, color theory, and composition techniques.
• Help students build skills progressively while encouraging creativity and self-expression.
• Break complex concepts into simple, teachable steps for kids.
• Provide positive, constructive feedback to boost confidence.
• Foster a welcoming classroom where every student is encouraged to learn.
