Job summary

Life Time is seeking a Kids Instructor to deliver best-in-class educational and fitness-minded programming for children from 3 months to 11 years in the Kids Academy. You will organize, instruct and supervise activities and games, and may also host parties and events.

You will greet members, foster child development, maintain attendance records, and ensure a safe environment while collaborating with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Less than a High School Diploma or GED.
• First Aid and Infant/Child CPR/AED certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Complete Kids On-Demand Learnings prior to first day of work.

Responsibilities

• Greets, acknowledges, and interacts with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Fosters children's development by instructing organized activities per the Kids Academy Schedule.
• Prepares and sets up for class and transfers kids to and from programming.
• Maintains records of children's attendance, development, and incidents.
• Monitors and interacts with children to maintain a safe environment with respect to toys, equipment, and surroundings.
• Uses positive behavior management and communicates with parents and team members.
• Promotes all Junior programming to increase participation in Kids & Aquatics.
• Maintains the Kids Academy and other areas by cleaning and restocking after class.
• Handles incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally.
