Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking a Kids Instructor to organize and deliver best-in-class, educational and fitness-minded programming for children from 3 months to 11 years in the Kids Academy. The role may include hosting parties and events, with emphasis on safety and engaging activities.

You will greet members, guide activities, track attendance and progress, and collaborate with parents and team members to maintain a safe, inclusive environment while promoting Junior programming across departments.

Qualifications

• Requires less than a high school diploma or GED.
• First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Completion of all Kids On-Demand Required Learnings prior to first day of work.

Responsibilities

• Greets, acknowledges, and interacts with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Fosters children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development by instructing activities according to the Kids Academy Schedule
• Prepares and sets up for class and transfers kids to and from programming
• Maintains records of children’s attendance, development, and incidents.
• Monitors and interacts with children to maintain a safe environment
• Utilizes positive behavior management techniques and communicates with parents and team members
• Promotes all Junior programming to increase participation in Kids & Aquatics programming
• Maintains the Kids Academy and other program areas by following cleaning checklists and restocking supplies
• Handles incidents and emergencies professionally
