Job summary

Philaymca's YMCA is seeking a dedicated Kid Zone Team Member to support children and members during after-school and weekend hours. You’ll help maintain a safe, engaging space and assist staff in implementing age-appropriate goals within the Y community.

Ideal candidates are 15+, comfortable in child care, and committed to the YMCA mission. Training provided for life saving skills; flexible, community-centered role with opportunities to grow at the Y.

Qualifications

• Age 15+
• Experience and comfort working in child care (not necessarily professional)
• Willingness to live out the mission of the Y
• Able to perform life saving skills in First Aid/CPR/AED (training provided)

• Maintain a fun, safe, and clean environment for children to play and learn
• Engage with children to maximize their experience
• Vigilantly monitor the children and their environment
• Prevent risk, bullying, and misbehavior

What is needed for this job as our Kid Zone Team Member:

• Age 15+
• Have experience and comfort working in child care - does not have to be professional
• Have a willingness and desire to live out the mission of the Y
• Are able to perform life saving skills in First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training provided)
